Full House Re-Wires
A domestic rewire replaces old or unsafe wiring with new, compliant wiring throughout the home. It is usually needed when an installation is more than around 25 years old, when there are recurring faults like tripping and flickering, or when a renovation or extension means the wiring no longer meets modern standards.
We start with a consultation and assessment, often via an EICR, so you know exactly what needs doing and why. We then plan the routes and circuits, carry out a careful first fix, install new consumer units, sockets, switches, and circuits, and test the whole system before issuing certification.
A small to medium two or three bedroom home typically takes around seven to ten days; larger or more complex properties can take ten to fifteen days or longer. We will give you a specific estimate after the consultation, and we work with you to keep disruption and time without power to a minimum. Moving out during the work speeds the job up and keeps the cost down.
Every rewire is carried out by NICEIC accredited electricians and finished with an Electrical Installation Certificate and a building control notification, so the work is fully compliant with BS 7671. Even the hidden first fix is installed to the same high standard, because the parts you never see matter just as much as the parts you do.
